To reset your NordVPN application settings on macOS, follow these steps:
- Close the NordVPN application completely by right-clicking the NordVPN in the Dock and selecting Quit.
- Open the Terminal by pressing Command + space bar and typing ‘terminal’ in the search field.
- In the Terminal, run these commands:
defaults delete com.nordvpn.osx-apple (if the application was downloaded from the App Store)
defaults delete com.nordvpn.osx (if the application was downloaded directly from our website)
- Open the NordVPN application and check if the issue was solved.
Tip: Your VPN connection safety depends on your account password too. Don't forget to use a strong password on your account, as it will help you to avoid credential stuffing attacks and will keep your connections safe and uninterrupted.
