How to connect to NordVPN with Firefox extension?

If you also want to browse the web safely on your in your Firefox browser, you can use our Firefox extension that secures your traffic with HTTPS.

You can get the VPN service for Firefox from the Firefox website for extensions.

  1. To install the extension click Add to Firefox.


     
  2. Afterward, you will be prompted to grant permission for this application, click Add.


     
  3. After that, you will be asked to allow the extension to run in a private window, check this and click "Okay".


     
  4. After the installation is finished NordVPN logo will appear on the Toolbar on the top right corner of the browser.


     
  5. Click on the NordVPN logo and you will be prompted to sign in, use your NordVPN credentials to do so.


    Tip: Don't forget to use a strong password on your NordVPN account as it will help you to avoid credential stuffing attacks and will keep your account safe.As generating and remembering strong and secure passwords is not an easy task, we recommend downloading a free password manager - NordPass.

    It generates secure passwords when needed and stores them safely, letting you avoid time-wasting password resets in the future. NordPass also offers a Firefox addon.

     
  6. After you sign in to your account you will be able to use the feature Quick connect which will choose the closest and least loaded server. You can also choose a server in a specific country by clicking Connect to a specific country option. 

  7. By going additional features menu you can enable AdBlocker and Block WebRTC.

        
  8. Please note that when you are connected using the extension, the NordVPN icon on your browser's toolbar will turn green and indicate the country you are connected to.
